Fender Telecaster Thinline (67 re-issue) Reviews 5

After trying one in our local guitar shop, I went shopping on e-bay and bought one from the US (I'm in England). I paid $405 (about £220), but had to pay P&P, import tax and VAT on that. In total, it came to about £430. If you want more info on importing guitars to the UK, mail me at hairybabymaker@yahoo.co.uk

Wow. I have never played a sweeter guitar. Being the Thinline version, there is that real 'tele twang' that everyone talks about, but the bottom end using the neck pickup is really sweet sounding. Tremendous range, including dirty blues, reggae, rock, grunge, and a really sweet clean sound. I know that the black guitars are the collectibles, but mine is 3-tone suburst and is the prettiest thing I have ever played.

When I hammer on the A string, it plays the note I hammered on, plus the A on the 12th fret...so I probably need to get it filed down a little. Or alter the setup (this has already bveen done for me by a professional tho'). Other than that, nothing. I haven't been able to put it down.

It's a Tele. You could go to war with these things.

As I tend to play acoustic stuff, this was a great guitar for me to 'go electric with (I have a Les Paul, and I'm still trying to figure out how best to use it). A wonderful guitar.
